Day 1
Visit Shakespeare's birthplace, stroll around the Bancroft Gardens and walk to Holy Trinity Church to see Shakespeare's grave. Have lunch in town at a pub or restaurant. Take the bus tour, stopping to look at the other Shakespeare houses - Mary Arden's House and Anne Hathaway's Cottage. Enjoy afternoon tea and scones at the Posh Corner Shop before seeing a play in the evening at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Day 2
Either
Spend the day at the big attraction of Warwick Castle and explore the county town of Warwick where there is a fine choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Take a tour of the numerous Cotswold villages, browsing village stores and antique shops in Stow on the Wold, Broadway, Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh.
or
Visit Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, at Woodstock. Drive on to Oxford to visit the city's beautiful architecture and famous university.
