New at the RSC – Tamburlaine and Tartuffe

Tamburlaine by Christopher Marlowe is at the RSC until December 1st.  Directed by Michael Boyd, this portrait of power at its most charismatic and violent may not be for the faint-hearted, promising extravagant savagery, blood soaked fantasy, gun shots, smoke effects and scenes that may cause distress!

By contrast, a new version of Tartuffe by Molière runs at The Swan Theatre from September 7th to February 23rd.  Moliere’s classic satire is brought up to date by Emmy Award winning comedy writers Anil Gupta and Richard Pinto.
