Ambleside Guest House has ensuite double and family rooms (children over 7 years are welcome).

A ground floor room is available and can be used as a double/twin or family (for 3 people).

We have a single room with private bathroom.

All rooms have tv with freeview, hospitality tray, hairdryer and wifi. Ironing facilities are available.

The whole guest house is non-smoking including vaporizers.

Q. What exactly is a guest house?

A. We are a small, family run business that provides a warm, personal welcome, a bed for the night(s) and a traditional English breakfast. Sorry but we are not a full service hotel with 24 hour facilities.

Q. So where can I get lunch and dinner or a drink?

A. There are dozens of cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs just a few minutes' walk from us in the town centre. We will be happy to advise the best current establishments.

Q. What time is check in?

A. Check in is from midday to 7pm (6pm Wed & Sun). We ask for an approximate arrival time and phone contact if you are running late. While we are flexible about check in, arriving late at night is not possible as we do not have a night porter. Once you have checked in, you have a door key to come and go as you please.

Q. What is the difference between a double and a twin?

A. A double room has one 4'6" bed, a twin room has a 4'6" bed and 3' bed.
