The Royal Shakespeare Theatre

The world famous Royal Shakespeare Company is based in Stratford upon Avon in a beautiful location in the town centre beside the River Avon. Every year over a million visitors attend plays by Shakespeare, Shakespeare's contemporaries and today's writers.

You can get closer to the world of theatre by taking a tour, enjoy spectacular views from the Tower or relax in The Bancroft Gardens.

A short drive away

The Cotswold villages of Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bourton on the Water are a short drive away or a scheduled guided day trip can be arranged.

Also nearby are Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace and Oxford as well as the towns of Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and Kenilworth.

The National Trust owns many historic houses and beautiful gardens in the area including Hidcote Manor Garden near Chipping Campden.
